Since last 06 years"CANCER HELP & RESEARCH TRUST" is trying to achieve its goal of bringing happiness to those children who are suffering from congenital heart defects. There are nearly 1,80,000 children born in India with CHD every year. Though it's a completely curable heart disease but the costly surgery is been a big trouble for the economically challenged families. Through “CANCER HELP & RESEARCH TRUST” we are trying to reach those kids who are suffering from CHD and take complete responsibility of their diagnosis, surgery and post surgery medicines.
To reach out to poor cancer patients as many as we can and wipe out their tears, bringing a smile on their faces by providing medical & financial help to poor cancer patients. We educate them about the ill effects of consuming tobacco and also spreading detailed information and awareness about early detection of cancer by organizing lectures by eminent doctors, screening various types of films based on cancer in Hindi & English languages in schools, colleges, societies and corporate to create maximum public awareness.
We wish to create a world where cancer survivors live a life which is full of vitality, cancer free and without fear. Spreading awareness of the dangers inherent in prevailing social practices such as chewing of pan / tobacco / gutkha, smoking, early marriage, multiple pregnancies etc. which are responsible for approximately 70% cancer cases in India.
Saving a Child’s Heart is an effort to make good on its promise of ensuring affordable healthcare to the masses, especially those for whom advanced health care is beyond reach, be it geographically or financially. As the name suggests, our focus is on children who suffer from cardiac disorders, primarily Congenital Heart Disease, which often requires extensive medical intervention, and even surgery.
With a highly skilled and motivated team of doctors we have done about 2500 surgeries in Cardio vascular & pediatric surgeries. We have been serving the poor and the needy patients from the society since 2005. We have operated close to 2500 pediatric surgeries & procedures of which are about 1400 are for Congenital Heart Disease for the kids from all over the Maharashtra.
It is through generous sponsors, benefactors and donors that Saving a Child’s Heart vision of a healthier childhood for India is becoming sustainable. However, a lot more needs to be done for this dream to become a vibrant reality.
More and more children today are suffering from complex Congenital Heart Disease which requires urgent treatment. However, due to a paucity of funds, their families are unable to afford the requisite medical attention. This needs to be rectified and soon.
So, it is up to the generosity of high thinking individuals and socially inclined companies to now take up the cause of these young children who are the future of this country.
